Reliving the Past -open-

[Yoshiamito]

A ruined and desolate village. He had seen so many of them throughout his life and each and everyone on haunted him to this day. Ever since his own village was burned down by those Orcs he had felt empathy for those who had fallen in massacres such as the one he narrowly escaped from. It was a way of life, to pillage and destroy in order to gain power and exact revenge. Something he never quite understood. Amongst these ruins however there were lives. Stories of people who once dwelled here buried in the ash and rubble. He frantically picked through a nearby pile and found a necklace. A silver necklace with a sapphire, it was beautiful. The Elf knew better, but it had no use remaining here it should live a happier life in which it could be use. He quickly pocketed it, knowing he may be able to sell it to an affluent merchant for a quick and hopefully, large, sum. He needed the money right now as he had given a large chunk of it to some refugees that were escaping a border skirmish between a group of warlord or whatnot.  Something was always going on. Something always was...

[Rhamus]

This place was ugly. It was all old and dead. It also smelled quite badly, but then again that might be something else.
It also had nobody in it. Or so it seemed. This was quite annoying to Rhamus, who was currently more just bored than anything else. In fact, he had no clue what possessed him to go to this abanadoned place in particular. Just a general feeling of boredom tempered by the knowledge that something was probably going to explode or otherwise be destroyed sooner or later and he didn't want it to happen somewhere where people lived.

Rhamus was currently in wolf form, though honestly it wasn't a very good wolf. More of a coyote than anything, but he was a werewolf so it had to be a wolf regardless of the fact it didn't look like one. Whatever. He also smelled someone, but beyond that they were a someone he didn't get much else. He slowly approached the scent and peaked his head around a tree. "I smell you. Whatever you are. And I don't bite unless you annoy me. Or want me too."

[Yoshiamito]

He heard a voice and he felt as if his life was in danger. Oh just great. He couldn't go into a local bar without someone trying to harm him. I wouldn't suggest biting me. If you are a Demon my Elven blood is a bit too rich and sanctified for someone of your standing. Otherwise I am hoping you are merely a Vampire of a Werewolf something I can deal with. He did not feel threatened at all by the presence of another non-human, if this person or creature was magical, even better. He looked around him only to see a Wolf. His favourite thing.

[Rhamus]

"Werewolf. Emphasis on wolf at the moment, it's faster. Plus I get to run around naked and people pet me." Rhamus said to the apparent Elf. Elves were fun, or at least they were if they weren't obnoxious. This one seemed good though. He hadn't thrown any fireballs yet so that's nice. Rhamus then sat down on how butt, still a wolf. "So, this place is ugly. Do you think anyone would care if I tried to renovate it?"

[Yoshiamito]

I wouldn't mind making this place inhabitable. Tragedies like this need to be forgotten, but at the same time we must remember the dead. This Wolf did not seem bad, yet he could not let his guard down just yet. He came closer to the Wolf and patted it on the head. Soft Wolf. Reminded him of a pet Rabbit he had when he was younger, but that was dinner once he escaped the attack on his own village.

[Rhamus]

"Well, I figure that it's a waste of space to just leave something after its been destroyed. If I suddenly died one day, I wouldn't want my house to just be left there with all my stuff going unused. That's just wasteful." Rhamus said to the Elf, wagging his tail in response to the petting. He was a Werewolf, but he still could act like a dog if he felt like. "Also, by the way, my name is Rhamus. Pretty sure someone mispronounced Remus somewhere along the line and my name was the result. Ah well, it sounds neat."

[Yoshiamito]

Well Rhamus once I acquire enough wealth, I can aid you in rebuilding this village. It would indeed be a shame to let this land go to waste. My fellow Elves could use a few friendly settlement these days. He felt as if he should introduce himself as well. The name is Yoshiamito. Yoshiamito Iken of the Black Fire Clan.

[Rhamus]

"So, any idea what happened to this place? I doubt it just up and died for no reason, but I myself aren't very well-informed. It would be quite annoying if someone made a new settlement here only for it to turn out like this one." Rhamus was still in wolf form, but considering if it would be better to assume a different form. "Hmm. Would you prefer I stay in this form or that I change to a different one? I can go human or I can go bipedal wolf. The second one is great fun at parties."

[Yoshiamito]

He knew little. I know this place was destroyed in an attack, but that is all I know about. I think one of my associates could tell me more. The Elf had his connections across the three Empires in order to keep a trade network open for him to gain nothing but glory and wealth. I want you to surprise me in terms of form. It would be fun. he Elf said. He petted the Wolf again, it was so soft even though it was a pretty serious looking thing.

[Rhamus]

"Hmm. Well, then it would probably need protection. Some sort of Town Guard. Maybe composed of veterans or military reservists." Probably need to consult the local authorities or something, as well as actually get enough people to settle that it's worth defending. Might be difficult. Oh well. "Surprise you? I'll be right back, my clothing is hidden behind a tree over there." Then he ran off to the tree, gave off something between a scream of pain and a howl, and came back out with his skeletal structure changed. He still had a general wolf body,but with a human structure. Effectively he was a now a bipedal wolf, in-between human and wolf forms but much closer to wolf. It was his preferred form, he found it cute. "I would have changed in front of you, but I'd be naked and I don't think you'd want to see that. Plus it's somewhat gruesome in and of itself what with the whole restructuring of bones and such." He now had a slightly higher pitched voice than in wolf form, but still sounded generally the same. He also now had a coat on, as well as slightly loose pants.

A town guard. No they would have enough to deal with. I would prefer some trustworthy mercenaries, but not many of my associates possess those. In fact, I am raising a company of Elven archers to protect on such route. He was ready for any war in case he had to defend himself. As fr this bipedal Wolf form it was interesting nevertheless. I imagine it feels simply wonderful.
